Black Rhino Arsenal Wheels + BFGoodrich KO2 Tires for Jeep Wrangler 4xe

I picked up the Jeep from Calonder on 21 December 2025 with a completely new wheel and tire setup. Thomas at Calonder handled the fitment and the mounting, so I just had to show up and drive away on the new rubber. This was one of the major upgrades after getting the new 4xe Wrangler earlier in the year.

The wheels are Black Rhino Arsenal in matte black, from their Hard Alloy truck line. I went with the 17-inch version, 8 inches wide, with a +30 mm offset (ET30). Seventeen-inch wheels are a deliberate choice on a rig like this: less rim and more sidewall, which means more cushion and flex for off-road work without giving up much on the road. They are tougher than the stock wheels and give the Rubicon a more purposeful stance.

For tires I went with the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 in 285/70R17, which works out to roughly a 33-inch tire, mounted with the white lettering facing out. There is a reason these are such a popular choice for overlanding rigs: an aggressive all-terrain tread that still behaves on tarmac, reinforced CoreGard sidewalls that shrug off cuts and rock damage, and a 3-peak mountain snowflake rating, so they are properly approved for snow and winter use. Picking them up just before Christmas, that last point is more than welcome here in Switzerland.

Of course, the Jeep already had some quality upgrades before this. Earlier on, I upgraded the stereo with a Pioneer AVH-Z9200DAB-AN for better on-the-road experience, and that’s been solid all the way.
