The Next Chapter? 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 3.6L V6
After everything that’s happened with the 4xe — and if you’ve been following along, you’ll know there’s been quite a bit — I’ve started looking at what comes next. And what I found at Garage Dutli in Zürich got me genuinely excited for the first time in a while.
The Jeep in question: a 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 3.6L V6, Canada-market spec, 28’800 km. Black. And it looks the part.
Canada-spec means proper North American equipment across the board. Uconnect 5 with the 12.3″ Nav screen, adaptive cruise control, Dana 44 electronic lockers front and rear, front disconnecting sway bar, off-road camera, heated seats and steering wheel, full safety package. No EU compromises, no watered-down trim levels. Just a Rubicon the way it should be.

The 3.6L Pentastar V6 is a known quantity — proven, reliable, and without the complexity of a high-voltage hybrid system. After two years of P0D94 codes, IDCM faults, recall after recall, and a very uncomfortable moment on the Klausenpass, the idea of a naturally aspirated V6 with a transfer case and a low range is honestly very appealing.
Nothing is signed yet. But I left Dutli with a big smile. Watch this space. 👍
Update — August 2026
Deal done. The 4xe is going, the 2024 Rubicon 3.6L V6 is coming. Recall 21D will be handled by my garage before handover — so that’s sorted. Now I’m just waiting (not very patiently) for the delivery date. Watch this space. 🤙
